Finance Director

About the Role:

We are partnering with a dynamic, growth-focused private equity firm seeking an experienced Finance Operations Manager / Director to support the performance of its North American portfolio companies. In this high-impact role, you’ll work directly with senior leadership and finance teams to drive value creation through strategic financial management, optimization initiatives, and operational oversight. Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze current financial structures within portfolio companies and identify optimization opportunities
• Drive improvements in forecasting, budgeting, and liquidity planning
• Implement and oversee controlling frameworks and KPI reporting systems
• Manage financial partner relationships and collaborate on innovative financing solutions
• Conduct variance analysis and develop targeted improvement strategies
• Act as a key liaison between the private equity firm and finance teams across the portfolio

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related discipline
• 3–5+ years of experience in financial consulting, private equity, or automotive manufacturing
• Strong operational and strategic finance capabilities
• Entrepreneurial mindset and a hands-on, results-driven approach
• Proven ability to lead projects and manage stakeholder relationships
• Fluent in English; German is a plus
• Willingness and flexibility to travel within North America as required
