Global Commodity Director

Our Client are seeking a Global Commodity Director to lead the Procurement – Direct Material.

Your Main Responsibilities:

• Group Procurement Direct Material Leadership.
• Oversee the worldwide organization’s successful direct material procurements and optimal strategy alignment.
• Making sure that direct material acquisition is done effectively and efficiently.
• Ensuring the security of the supply.
• Long-term protection of business success and performance.
• In accordance with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and binding commitments, you are in charge of putting into practice the objectives, metrics, and requirements that come from the Integrated Management System (IMS) in the areas of quality, environment, health, and safety while taking continuous improvement into consideration.
• The creation and application of standardised procedures and methodologies for direct procurement.
• Creating a suitable supplier portfolio and putting supplier strategies into practice.
• Management of suppliers, including ongoing assessment and growth.
• A procurement and worldwide corporate strategy underpins the commodity group plan.
• Improvement and optimisation of systems, contract design, and procurement procedures.
• Continue to develop and apply procurement controls.
• Monitoring and evaluating the markets for procurement.
• Engineering costs (“Design to Cost”). a portion of the product cost.
• Account management.
