Principal Field Application Engineer (Hardware- Automotive)

Our client are seeking an experienced Principal Field Application Hardware Engineer to join their team in Munich, Germany.

Your Main Responsibilities:

• Offer technical assistance from the start of the product lifecycle until the end of manufacturing.
• Technical help is available via remote access or on-site assistance at clients’ sites.
• In charge of overseeing, directing, testing, troubleshooting, and documenting on HW.
• Use an oscilloscope to examine and troubleshoot the board during the bring-up process.
• Use an eye diagram for a high-speed interface (PCIe, USB, UFS, etc.) to analyse signal (loss or jitter).
• Advising clients on board design through global engineering communication.
• Examine and rectify problems, such as minor PCB layout fixes, by corresponding with engineers worldwide.
• Visit help boards and customer websites to discuss and address problems.
• Technical documentation.

Your Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in physics, electronics, or a related field, or its equivalent.
• 3+ years of relevant field assistance experience in the semiconductor sector.
• ADAS/IVI experience.
• A foundational understanding of software.
• SOC architectural experience is a huge plus.
• PMIC, Memory, SSD, and peripheral device experience is advantageous.
• Experience with cars is a bonus.
• Proficiency with schematic/layout tools is required, such as Cadence Or CAD for board schematics, Cadence Or CAD for board designs, Cadence Sigrity for board SI/PI analysis (or one of four options: Cadence Sigrity, Mentor Hyperlynx, Keysight ADS, Ansys HFSS), Ansys Icepak for thermal simulation.
